Clarke’s Defensive Solutions represents a rich tradition of intense Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido training dating back 40+ years in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

As the story goes, in their adolescence the three Clarke brothers were afforded the esteemed privilege of learning formal Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido instruction from the late, great Grandmaster Jin Young Jung, the pioneer of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido in Trinidad and Tobago and the first person to bring the Korean Martial Arts from South Korea to the small twin-island Republic in 1975.

Under this direct instruction, the oldest of the three brothers Master Stokely Clarke, who holds a 6th Dan in both Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido respectively, founded Clarke's Defensive Solutions in 2017 on the principles of Grandmaster Jung’s teaching, with his two little brothers aiming to follow in said footsteps.

With the unexpected death of the middle brother Russell Clarke, who at the time of his passing had earned his third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and the sudden passing of Grandmaster Jung which followed years later, the two remaining Clarke brothers formed a pact to establish a school under its own name in their late brother’s honor, built upon the principles, teachings and techniques taught to them by their late Grandmaster.

It was during this time that the last of the three brothers, Julius Clarke had earned his Tae Kwon Do 4th Dan Masters certification by the Grandmaster himself which empowered the young Master to establish Clarke's Defensive Solutions in Miami Florida where he had migrated.

4th Dan - Tae Kwon Do

Master Clarke is a career martial artist with over 30 years of experience and training. He was an athlete of the highest caliber and retired from competition as the undefeated, undisputed National Lightweight Champion of Trinidad and Tobago, a title he successfully defended for over 15 years prior to retiring.

Master Clarke currently resides in Miami Gardens Florida where he teaches Tae Kwon Do under the banner Clarke's Defensive Solutions whose roots are deeply planted within the foundation of Jung's School of Martial, his original training ground. Master Clarke visits Trinidad and Tobago periodically and is one of the country’s most senior and experienced instructors.

Master Clarke is highly skilled and experienced in teaching both children and adults in the ancient Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. and is also a Master Leather craftsman, canvas artist, and honorary international Bounty Hunter.

Master Clarke holds a Bachelors degree in criminal justice from Florida Memorial University. A Bachelor of Laws degree( LLB) from the University of London, School of Law and a Masters of Laws degree (LLM) with specialization in International law from the University of Miami, School of law and is currently a practicing attorney in the USA.
